Available free across all 22 Arab countries, UBN provides journalists, producers, engineers, and media leaders with the ethical foundations, technical knowledge, specialized skills, and professional standards required to sustain credible and independent media in a rapidly evolving information landscape.

Pilot UBN: Built on Credibility

Before proposing UBN at a regional scale, we launched a pilot project — built entirely on credibility and strategic partnerships.

Working with Panasonic, Canon, JVC, and 29 additional global technology partners, we secured all the equipment needed to launch and operate the Arab world’s first fully operational HD television station — at no capital cost.

Simultaneously, we established relationships with the National Association of Broadcasters and Arabsat, alongside academic partnerships with leading universities including LAU, NDU, UOB, and USEK — bridging the gap between graduation and professional employment.

The station went live, delivered high-level programming, and proved the model works.

Graduates trained to operate the station were selected by the National Association of Broadcasters to run NAB’s flagship HD exhibition in the United States after just two months of training. Within months of completion, 85% of graduates from our programs secured professional media employment.

The Team Behind UBN

United Broadcasting Network is led by senior professionals whose track record defines what the network is building. They launched the Arab world’s first HD television station, founded the MEB industry journal, and organized regional broadcast exhibitions, conferences, and awards that convened the Arab media sector annually. This is not a new concept — they are scaling a proven, operational reality.

Professional Reach

UBN reaches 410,000 media professionals across the Arab world. Television networks. Radio stations. Production houses. Engineers, editors, producers, directors, and students in accredited media programs across all 22 Arab countries. This is the most precisely targeted professional media audience in the region. For technology companies and broadcast advertisers, there is no comparable platform.

How the Arab World’s First HD Broadcast Happened

The NAB Technical Director’s Own Words

“This was the first time that HD transmissions have ever been delivered throughout the region. The volunteers MEB mobilized were extraordinary. Over 300 students from every university in Lebanon. I have never been greeted by such an enthusiastic and energetic group of young people. Their dedication was exemplary. They are a new generation of media producers who will definitely be an asset to the industry. This event had great merit and could easily become a valuable asset to the region’s broadcasting and media communities.”
From that group, Nigel personally selected a team of graduates to operate the NAB flagship HD exhibition in the United States.

Why We Built UBN

We believe that when media professionals do their job well, the impact reaches far beyond the industry.

People make better decisions. Communities grow stronger. Societies become harder to manipulate.

UBN trains the professional. But the professional serves the public. That is why we built something permanent. So credible media lasts for generations.
